My interest for acupressure and massage started because I have many huskies and because I discovered how much we can feel and heal with our hands and hearts. During 2009 I finished my studies as a dog-massage therapist at the Axelsons Animal Massage School in Stockholm (Sweden). At the time, I already knew I wanted to combine K9-massage with acupressure and other elements of TCM and in 2016 I became a Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner.
In addition, I have done courses in: dog health/first aid, training and exercises for dogs with musculoskeletal disorders, advanced muscle palpation, kinesiology and animal communication. I have my private practice at my company HuskyGård and I am a board member of The Swedish Association of Dog-massage Professionals (Svenska Hundmassörers Yrkesförbund) "in touch Spirits mingle"
Eva-Marie is a Certified Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner accredited by the Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute. Eva-Marie has had a strong connection to classical Chinese medicine for the past 25 years. Within this time, she has mainly worked with human acupuncture and is an authorized member of the Swedish Acupuncture Association-TCM. Eva-Marie was president of the Swedish Acupuncture Association-TCM between 2015-2019. Animals have always had an important place in her life and she began early in her career as an acupuncturist to seek knowledge about the meridian system in animals as well. Through the literature, she came in contact with Amy Snow and Nancy Zidonis with their solid knowledge in TCM on animals. Their books and posters came to be faithful companions for many years before Eva-Marie finally took the step to study with the Tallgrass Small Animal certification program between 2019-2021.
For many years, Eva-Marie has also specialized in medical laser and laser acupuncture. Within the past ten years, she has been lecturing and teaching laser acupuncture for professional practitioners throughout Scandinavia.
The services she offers include wellness and rehabilitation, mainly on dogs and cats, but other small animals, such as rabbits and guinea pigs, are also welcome for treatment. The services she offers for animals are based only on non-invasive techniques including acupressure, TUINA, medical laser, laser acupuncture.
