Prerequisites: Successful completion of Overview of TCM and Meridian Theory.Remarkable modality to add to your skills! Massage is based on the Chinese Meridian Massage, Tui Na. A form of body work and manipulation with a history in Chinese medicine. As part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and as an adjunct to animal acupressure, Tui Na facilitates and improves the therapeutic results of acupressure for animals while contributing to their health and well-being.
Tui Na regulates meridians, promotes circulation of chi and blood, and strengthens the immune system. Techniques can be applied in musculoskeletal conditions, arthritis, nerve disorders, wei syndrome (wasting and weakness) & improves the functions of the zang-fu, or internal organs. Course covers the hand & body techniques & their application for animals. Techniques include Gun Fa (rolling), Yi Zhi Chan Tui Fa (finger pushing), Tui Fa (pushing), Rou Fa (kneading), An Fa (pressing), Ya Fa (compressing), Na Fa (grasping), and more.
